...Siena and San Gimignano
A day tour dedicated to visit two beautiful towns: Siena and San Gimignano.
San Gimignano will be your first stop: a cosy village dating back to the Etruscan age, whose medieval architecture has been preserved during centuries! Located on the topp of a hill viewing the countryside, surrounded by stone walls, San Gimignano is said to be “the Manhattan of Tuscany”, because of its high towers, built by the ancient noble families, enriched with the commerce, who wanted to show their power!
Visiting San Gimignano is a unique chance to go back in time, walking along narrow streets, admiring old stone buildings, the 13 remaining towers and loose yourself in a pleasant medieval atmosphere. We suggest to stop in one of the many wine shop of the village to taste the typical local wine, Vernaccia di San Gimignano!
From San Gimignano you will pass to the famous Siena. An easy walking tour along this ancient city will show you its beauties, from Piazza del Campo to the Dome, from the Hospital of Santa Maria della Scala to the Church of San Domenico, passing by the birthplace of Saint Caterina.
Siena will delight you also for its typical shops, where local gourmet products will attract your eyes: Cinta senese salamis, pecorino, panforte...
NOTA BENE: We use small vans up to 8 seats, that are authorized to drive you just in the city centre, up to the main attractions.
